Beneath The Radioactive Sun

from The Motherland's Call by Tetchiot Krov

lyrics

A cold wind is scattering the snatches of a decadent civilization
Forgotten for a long time, slowly disintegrating with age
An obsolete race on the edge of extinction
Constantly struggling for its survival
Forsaken buildings everywhere, dreadful sight
A few piles of bones here and there, no signs of life

No human is to be found at the surface of Earth
Only a few signs of the long gone glory of humanity remains
Icy silence crystallizes the relics of a life in a neglected state

All hidden underneath the ground
To avoid deadly acid rain
Heaped-up in some cold, narrow cellars
We are now all gathered
Deep beneath the radioactive sun

I can still remember that misty, grey sky
A really strange, rancid smell, was floating into the air
Far away, hazy sounds of falling death too soon to come
Memories of the Great Nuke are stuck in my mind forever

The air has gone toxic since that doomsday
Now we can’t see the daylight any more
Living in caves, digging tunnels, going deeper and deeper
Our only hope is to hide underneath the ground
To prevent our flesh from slowly melting down
An obsolete race on the verge of extinction
Forgotten for a long time, slowly disintegrating with age

All hidden underneath the ground
To avoid deadly acid rain
Heaped-up in some cold, narrow cellars
We are now all gathered
Deep beneath a radioactive sun
